Too Well-Adjusted To This Culture

Reading - Romans 12:2-3
Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.3 I’m speaking to you out of deep gratitude for all that God has given me, and especially as I have responsibilities in relation to you. Living then, as every one of you does, in pure grace, it’s important that you not misinterpret yourselves as people who are bringing this goodness to God. No, God brings it all to you. The only accurate way to understand ourselves is by what God is and by what he does for us, not by what we are and what we do for him.

Day 4 of 40 Day Fast - the focus on prayer today is that our WILLS will be renewed by the Holy Spirit, so that God will use us to accomplish His will and purpose in our community and city.

Prayer
Holy Spirit come, I invite you to do what you need to do that I might be and do all that you would have for me. I need you. I will be your vessel. Let me be conformed to what you would have, not my will but yours! I will be your vessel. Let us war together, this day I will be your weapon. Ignite your gift of Faith in me Holy Spirit. Let your sword devour and shatter, redeem and restore. Let your power be released as I go through my day in all I say and do. Let your resurrection power come boldly, let your creation power create, let your breath breath life through me this day! Ignite within me your fire, your boldness, Holy Spirit. Lead and Guide me. Stand beside me as we go together to destroy the works of the enemy and declare victory in Jesus Name. Amen.

Preparation /// Purification

Galatians 2:20 "Christ’s life showed me how, and enabled me to do it. I identified myself completely with him. Indeed, I have been crucified with Christ. My ego is no longer central. It is no longer important that I appear righteous before you or have your good opinion, and I am no longer driven to impress God. Christ lives in me. The life you see me living is not “mine,” but it is lived by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me."

Prayer:

God you have checked me out, inside and out...you know me! You know when I sit and when I stand. You scrutinize my life, You are know everything about me...even the stuff I do not want to admit! You know all that I think, say and do. You have my back, front and sides. Your hand is on me. I am overwhelmed by your love. Just the idea of who you are and who I am is mind boggling. I can not grasp it all!

Oh, God, you not only desire truth in every area of my life - inside and out, but you will make me to know wisdom. Create in me a CLEAN HEART! Renew me. I will be steadfast. Wash me thoroughtly form all my stuff (Stuff: sin / iniquities). Deep clean me. I confess I am a failure at following you, yet I am so grateful that you are always faithful. You forgive me. You cleanse me. You set me RIGHT and for that I am at a loss for words.

Jesus you are the SON of GOD! You are the Messiah in the flesh. You have come to destroy all the works of the enemy. You died on the cross for all the junk / stuff in my life and on the third day you rose from the dead. I THANK YOU for making me clean. For redeeming - (Redeeming: To recover ownership of by paying a specified sum. To pay off. To set free; rescue or ransom. To save from a state of sinfulness and its consequences. To make up for. To restore the honor, worth, or reputation of.) me and for sanctifying (Sanctify: To set apart for scared use: consecrate, to make holy; purify.) me in your blood.

I have been set free by the Son of God!

I declare I will never SLUMBER!
